Who handles your information

NexusPoint is an independent agency led by Aleem Ul Hassan. We are responsible for deciding how personal information received through this website is used. For a privacy question or request, contact aleem@nexus-point.co.

This notice covers visitors, people making enquiries and newsletter subscribers. If we handle information on a client’s behalf while delivering a project, the relevant project agreement and data processing arrangements also apply.

02

Information we receive

  • Enquiries: your name, work email, message and any optional service areas you select on the contact form. We also receive information you choose to send in direct emails or later correspondence.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: the email address you submit and your subscription or confirmation status. Our newsletter provider may also process technical information associated with signup and email delivery.
  • Technical information: our hosting and form providers may process your IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and security or delivery logs when serving the site or handling a submission.
  • Browser preference: the blog can remember whether you selected its grid or list layout. This preference stays in your browser’s local storage.

You can browse without sending an enquiry. The form needs a name, email and message so we can understand and answer your request; selecting service areas is optional. Please do not send passwords, payment card details or sensitive personal information through the general contact form.

03

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond, discuss your needs, arrange a conversation and prepare a proposal if you ask us to. We use technical information to deliver the website and messages, investigate faults and protect against spam or abuse.

Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, these purposes generally involve taking steps at your request before a contract, our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and operating a secure website, or meeting a legal obligation. Where consent is required for a separate use, we will request it for that purpose.

If you subscribe through a newsletter form on this website, we use your email address to send The Connected Business, NexusPoint’s agency newsletter on websites, AI and automation, with your consent. You can withdraw that consent using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us.

Sending the contact form does not subscribe you to a newsletter. The website does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you solely through automated processing.

04

Providers and sharing

The contact form sends your submission directly to Web3Forms over HTTPS for processing and delivery to our inbox. Web3Forms may retain submission data and use infrastructure and spam prevention providers that process submission content, IP addresses or email addresses. Its Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement explain its processing and retention.

The newsletter form submits your email directly to Kit over HTTPS. Our dedicated NexusPoint account in Kit stores subscriber records and delivers The Connected Business emails on our behalf. Its Data Processing Addendum explains subscriber processing and its service providers. Kit’s Privacy Policy describes its own service usage processing.

Vercel hosts this website and may process technical request information to deliver and secure it. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice. Our email service also processes correspondence sent to or received by our inbox.

Information may be accessed by the people and providers who need it to handle your enquiry or deliver agreed work. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to protect legal rights or address misuse.

Our team and providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Applicable privacy protections can differ. Contact us if you need more information about providers or the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

05

Cookies and browser storage

This website currently has no advertising pixels, behavioural analytics or session recording scripts. The application does not set tracking cookies. Hosting or form infrastructure may process technical information or use security mechanisms when responding to requests.

The blog stores a layout preference under np-blog-view in local storage. It is not a tracking identifier, is not sent by our code to a server, and remains until you clear the site’s browser data or change the preference. You can remove it through your browser’s site data controls. The blog still works without saving a preference.

Newsletter emails may contain tracking pixels and tracked links that record opens and clicks to help us understand email delivery and engagement. This is separate from the website’s browser storage. We do not load Kit’s embedded tracking scripts on this website; the signup request goes to Kit only when you submit the form.

Fonts, portfolio images and videos are served from this site. If we introduce optional analytics or tracking, we will update this notice and provide any choices required by applicable law before using them.

06

Retention and security

Enquiry correspondence is retained according to the ongoing discussion, any resulting client relationship, and the need to keep business records, meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute. There is no single published deletion period for every message. Contact us to ask about the information associated with your enquiry or to request deletion.

Newsletter subscriber records are used while you remain subscribed. Unsubscribing stops newsletter emails but does not automatically delete all subscription history. Contact us to request deletion of your subscriber information.

Provider logs, submission copies and backups can have separate retention periods under the provider’s policies. Deleting a message from our inbox does not necessarily delete every provider copy immediately.

The website and form endpoint use HTTPS for information in transit. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Share only the information needed for an initial conversation, and agree a suitable method with us before sending confidential files or system access.

07

Your choices and rights

Contact aleem@nexus-point.co to ask what personal information we hold about you, correct an error, request deletion or raise a concern. We may need enough information to verify that a request relates to you. We will explain any applicable reason that prevents us from fulfilling a request.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to restrict processing, receive a portable copy of information, or withdraw consent for a use based on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Right to object: where applicable law provides this right, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests by emailing us. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

08

External sites

Links to social profiles, documentation and other external resources take you to separately operated websites. Their own privacy notices explain what happens when you visit or share information there. If you open the hosted newsletter signup or verification page on Kit, that page is operated by Kit.

Sharing an article on LinkedIn opens LinkedIn’s website. Copying a link or our email address uses the clipboard only when you select the relevant button.

09

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the website’s handling of personal information changes. The date above identifies the current version. For questions, contact aleem@nexus-point.co.
